My name is Tori Van Gorp owner and President of Collier Row Cottage Flower Farm LLC and Collier Row Floral Studio. Collier Row Flower Farm is located in rural Northwest Indiana. Our farm provides naturally grown cut flowers and our florist shop provides arrangements year round.
People often ask where the name Collier Row came from. My husband's mother was an English war bride and during the war, she worked in London at a hatchery, Her hometown was Collier Row located just outside of London In Essex. Both of our families have British lineage and we decided to name our farm Collier Row in honor of our mothers. Ironically, our shop is a refurbished Sears Robuck chicken coup from the WWII era. It seemed like a good fit for a magical place.
In 2010, Tony and I were married at the Jasper County Court House. Our blended family also included chickens, dogs, cats, a huge perennial, and a vegetable garden. We have been through two construction projects including demolition and an addition to our home. We now have only memories of the original home.
Each year we added gardens, took out trees, landscaped, and added wells. In 2018 we acquired a 30 x 50 high tunnel and became a flower farm in the fall of 2020. Our first year was amazing!! No pressure if our seeds did not germinate, if our flowers didn’t bloom, or if we spent more than we made. Fortunately, all of the things that should have happened in our business plan did. We learned a lot and it is exciting to see where this dream of an opportunity will take us and hope you join us on this adventure.

Prior to marrying my husband, I was a single parent living in Merrillville, Indiana working a couple of jobs and trying to juggle the responsibilities of being a single mother of two teenagers.
